I recently re-read the novel Something to Die For by former SecNav James Webb written in early-1990s. It’s about military action in Ethiopia - Eritrea that was a distraction from Washington politics and affairs.

Fifty years ago today — The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald with 29 sailors lost. This led to safety changes and no Great Lakes ships have been lost since. Links to Song and Documentary.
