My brother died when I was a kid. My parents are not religious but I know my Mum wants to believe that there is life after death because she doesn't want to let him go. I understand where she's coming from and that it brings her comfort.

I'll give you an example of the "not all people" I mean. The lady that lives next door to us is christian. She is lovely, gets involved in charity and seems to do her best to be a decent person. Her name is Marg btw.
