Oof I feel this! The way my social anxiety is set up, big gatherings, bday texts from family and friends, etc. would stress me TF out. Now people know they’re not going to hear from me on my bday bc my gift to myself is freedom from that social pressure. That makes the occasion feel like it’s mine
