Yeh, I did stop all, reset the skeleton, detached everything, and it's still there. Furthermore, if you select the third eye and ear animation, you get this

It's a tiny portion where the creator molded the paw to the LL UV ankle joint so the legs can use preexisting skins, and it's beautiful. Lines on the sides and tops of the foot UV still match up on the paws. I barely needed any adjustment to curve a line over the big toes.
