Dammit I forgot RCCC was this weekend & forgot to see if there was any OFMD stuff happening so ofc I missed it all & now the weekend is over 😭 (it’s for the best bc I’ve been sick since Thursday afternoon so I guess I’d rather have realized it later than know what I’m missing while I’m missing it)

He is prob most well known for being the person in this photo. A lot of his life and art was dedicated to AIDS activism until his death from complications from AIDS in 1992. He’s one of my favorite artists of all time. I was lucky enough to see a retrospective of his work at the Whitney in 2018.

The piece is called “F*ck You, F*gg*t F*cker.” (Censored here to avoid being flagged but not originally censored) Wojnarowicz was an incredible queer artist and person with AIDS in the early years of the epidemic. There’s a great documentary about him you can watch. I recommend it highly.

Two sides done and dried now! I’m only painting one side with the lighthouse so if they don’t like that reference they can have a different side facing out with a random pattern. It’s coming along nicely!

Yes i started very late on my @thecanyoncraft.bsky.social but I think it’s coming along nicely and will certainly be done and shipped by the deadline. It’s my first time using glass paints but when it dries it should look like stained glass! It’s a candle holder!
