DHS takes credit for crime being down in Chicago. Data shows that was happening before they arrived.
Immigration officials on Tuesday said a drop in crime numbers was thanks to their work. Police data show the decrease was taking place before federal agents arrived in the city.

When I worked in WaPo Opinions in 2017-2018, senior editors specifically told junior editors not to factcheck Marc Thiessen and other MAGA columnists, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to publish anything by them at all, and “we need them for intellectual diversity.”
It’s very telling that opening your publication to MAGA “thought” requires a massive downgrade in quality control.

Whew, Newby. One of the most unethical jurists I have ever observed. Iirc, he believes that nothing requires elections in NC to be fair. He declared his re-election campaign 8 years early to skirt judicial ethics rules. And he’s been denying NC’s kids their Constitutional rights for almost 2 years.
