My flight home after almost a week in a different time zone was delayed by an hour. So we landed at 12:30 am instead of 11:30 pm.
My suitcase was the first one out at baggage claim and I have never felt more like I won the lottery.

Is there anything worse than getting salt & vinegar when you meant to get original sea salt?

Better than Starbucks anyway. And faster. And better pastry, which I do not have a photo of because I already eated it.

I got a good grade at the dentist. My first-born-daughter, Virgo, Obliger ass self is so satisfied. This might carry me through the week.

What’s a good place for back to school shopping these days?

Makes me mad that teachers don’t have the supplies they need to do their very important jobs. Makes me even more mad that Jeff Bezos profits from all the kind hearted folks buying things from teacher wish lists on Amazon.

Garbage system.

Once again frustrated at the contrast between the number of books I want to read and the amount of time and focus I have in which to read them.

I’m flying to see my family tomorrow. With a 5:20 boarding time. A.M.

Why did I do this to myself?

Can I blame all my flight delays on Trump somehow?
August 2, 2025 at 12:22 AM
If and only if all goes well, I will get home 31 hours after I was originally supposed to. Of all the times to pack so carefully and that I had no extras…

Things you can’t unsee: colleague calls their partner Pookie.

This is what I get for looking at someone else’s phone screen.

Fuck, y’all. This truly is the most infuriating, most stupid, most shameful timeline for the US.

After spending the afternoon handing out programs to strangers at graduation, I am once again asking for a polite form of address that is gender neutral. To be used with folks you don’t know and may never see again. How do you say yes ma’am/sir for someone when you don’t want to assume gender?

It’s just all so STUPID. Every decision is so stupid and shortsighted and selfish and shameful.

Was just reading a nauseating post on The Preamble Substack (highly recommended - the times are nauseating, not the writing) when I remembered Nauzene exists. Closest thing to a magic potion for unsettled stomach I’ve ever tried. I have a feeling I’ll be taking it more often in the future…

This bill not only criminalizes educators and librarians but also places unnecessary barriers between students and the resources they need to thrive academically and personally.
