RBS recently hosted Shih-shan Susan Huang of Rice Univ. for a hands-on visit in which she, with UVA faculty & graduate students, learned about the history of the book in China through objects such as woodblocks, multi-color printed & illustrated books, rubbings & more from our Guanhailou collection.

Thanks to all those who joined us for our fall open house last Friday! We had an enthusiastic crowd, and we loved seeing everyone printing on the letterpress, trying their hand at leather tooling, and admiring some of the largest and smallest items from our world-class teaching collections!
