Beetle, (jellied) juice.
A round, long-legged beetle with a pebbly abdomen and powdery blue color. It is nibbling on a lump of darker yellow jelly, set on a piece of orange sandstone.

One is a reptile, sedate (unless it's food time), limbless, and smooth-scaled.

The other is a mammal, boisterous, quadrupedal, and fluffy.

I love them both equally.
A small ground boa, white with bright red-orange stripes on its sides and back, slithers on the ground around a log and rock. A kitten that has gray fur mixed with patches of white on the face, neck, and legs. Her amber eyes stare toward the direction of the camera.

My sleep is a mess, so have an early morning Porcellio scaber.
An isopod, its segmented shell white with light freckles of grayish-brown, clings to the side of a small chunk of cork bark.

The narrow eye crest-bearing skull of Allosaurus jimmadseni specimen MOR 693, AKA 'Big Al' The large bird-like right foot of Allosaurus jimmadseni MOR 693 'Big Al'. Osteomyelitis (bone infection) inflamed and engorged the upper portion of the middle large toe (third toe overall counting the fourth smaller digit) in life and can still be seen in the fossil. The holotype of Daspletosaurus horneri, a tyrannosaur from Montana. It consists of a nearly complete skull, robust and somewhat similar in shape to its younger relative Tyrannosaurus. A cabinet showing a display of ontogeny (organism development) as shown in Tyrannosaurus rex skulls. The smallest skull is surprisingly long and narrow, but bulks out into the traditional heavyset head famous for the species.
