There is nothing "wanted" about it. He is acting as such and consolidating his power. He sh*ts on the Constitution and judicial systems, so he won't give a damn that anyone is saying something is illegal or unconstitutional.

Autocrats and dictators don't give a damn about rule of law, constitutions, or any other paper. There is only one way to deal with it, as history has shown again and again.
