The New York Times likes to say Trump "has stretched the limits of his powers” and “tests the boundaries of the presidency.” But this is not a test or a stretching exercise. He’s a lawless politician building a dictatorship. Say it. 🧵 1/3

Just a quick PSA that you have no reasonable expectation of privacy in your public movements. This is why law enforcement can follow YOU or photograph YOU in public without reasonable suspicion or probable cause. Law enforcement doesn’t get “extra” protection in that regard. Goose/gander etc.
Because he’s doing his job…reporting. Because we still live in a free country with a First Amendment and a free press.

If given the chance, I'd lose my legs all over again to serve in our great military.

The leader of your party is a five-time draft dodger who has fired more Veterans than any other president in our history.

Square that circle then tell me who really hates our military.

The government is shut down. He refuses to meet with Democrats to discuss opening it. Every interview he gives, he says he hasn't heard about X, Y, or Z, so he can't comment on it. Makes you wonder what he's busy doing.

Releasing a health care plan is not negotiating. It's...releasing a health care plan. Odd that the House speaker doesn't understand that basic point.
COLLINS: If you have a healthcare plan, why not have that out there to talk about in the public so people can hear it?

MIKE JOHNSON: We need to get back to regular session so we can. We will not negotiate with legislative terrorists

Q: Getting back to the Jeffries threat, this is one of a number of J6 pardons that's been rearrested. Did Trump make a mistake?

JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details. I'll tell you the violence on the left is far more prevalent than on the right. The rhetoric that you saw Saturday plays into it
