Victor has left the building. We toured together in the USA and Canada. We looked for music books in every city. He's heard on several of my songs. He went on to play with Tower of Power and Herbie Hancock. We had great times!

Victor Conte, bassist from Fresno, member of PFDA (with me), Tower of Power and Herbie Hancock's Monster Band has passed away. I knew he was very ill, but he never admitted being close to death when we texted, just days ago. Victor plays on a number of my recordings. I miss him already.

Brazillian drummer and percussionist Alessandro Moleta joins us in this new version of "To Each His Zone", originally recorded in 1994. You can hear the whole track online wherever you get your music.

Impressive: Nate Ginsberg, a brilliant keyboardist, played in Herbie Hancock's Monster Band. He joined us in California to record 12 tracks which were only released when streaming arrived. Trivia: Nate's Bay Area band was called "Oasis"... in 1975.

New Zealand saxophonist Alex Nyman played with me on the collaborative album "A&R", and this is the tune "Mr. Roulette", was written around 1970 and recorded with Alex in 2024. The track, originally written for Freddie Roulette, is a nod to Thelonious Monk.
