I like obscure old video games and make a lot of videos about them. I've documented all of the Nintendo Famicom library and I'm currently working on the PC Engine.
I'm not mad about anime translations. Please don't put on wikipedia that I'm mad about anime translations.

Spotted someone outside my office window...

Bullet Proof Software apparently gave out floppy disks that looked like this as contest prizes. They were blank floppies, though. No special game or anything like that on them.

Probably should have saved this for Random Game Saturday, but it's too cool not to share. This is a legit copy of King of Dragon Pass. When the designer ran out of printed copies and you ordered one from them, they burned you a copy and mailed it.

I'm going through spindles of old CD-Rs and DVD±Rs from the storeroom and seeing if there's anything worth keeping. I'm tossing out so much stuff acquired on the high seas, then burned to disk...

If anyone needed to confirm my nerd bona fides, I finished getting all of these onto my media server.

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news that Bob the Goon was Joker's henchman?

Sometimesnyou just have to break out a cool game for Random Game Saturday like Thief, the stealth game that makes other stealth games look bad.

Here's what it looks like if it hasn't rolled to you yet. Somehow they managed to fit even fewer videos on screen at once. It's like the interface was designed for a tablet or a TV, not a computer screen.

Oh you better believe this monster illustration is going on the end card.

For Random Game Saturday, I have Pong: The Next Level. In the late 90s Hasbro revived a lot of Atari properties, modernizing them. Pong was one of the best of these, extending the ball and paddle gameplay pretty far.

Saying this at a press conference you hold in the last week of October is really tempting fate.

Does everyone remember when Gorbachev ended the console wars?

For Random Game Saturday, I have Beautiful Katamari. It's great example of how video games went wrong as three-quarters of the game were stripped out and sold as "DLC". The whole game is there on the disk, the DLC just lets you access some more of it.

Yeah, no mosaic could hide a single color, solid background field. It's really distinctive.

Also, not the Legend of Zelda box. The real one has the shield in a different position and has a cut out the cart is viewed through. This is an image used to make fake boxes.

For Random Game Saturday, the forgotten Psychic Force game is Puzzle Taisen. It's the only Puzzle Bobble game to come on two CDs!

Who could have predicted that letting chatbots run HR would be a bad idea?

For Random Game Saturday, I have Superman for the Genesis. Vaguely based on Taito's arcade game, it as good as the average Superman game.

The US cover art for Valis III manages to make bikini armor look even less comfortable than it normally does.

I thought I'd try picking random games in my steam library that I haven't played and it only comes up with Half-Life 2 Deathmatch...

For Random Game Saturday, I have one of the worst video game purchases I ever made: Ultima IX Ascension in the special Dragon Edition. That box is ginormous, maybe half a meter tall. The game it came with was a disaster.
