Here are the facts on ICE & CBP detainments. Over 73% detainees have no criminal record. Fact: This is not making the US safer or more productive.

Hoping there is some middle ground for defectors. Not to be celebrated as heroes. But maybe cautiously welcomed as a first step toward further redemption. Other people thinking of defection will be watching closely. More defections is the goal. Can we celebrate the action, even if not the person?

We must now start calling this what it is: Trump’s Invasion. It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state’s military troops.

The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

The government does not have the power to declare “free speech zones.” And the violent arrest of the rabbi should set off some alarm bells.
Heard an officer say "let's do it" and then, in the dark, they tackle Rabbi Ben to the ground. He's being loaded into a CCSO wagon now. Broadview police also here screaming at people.
