Sun Tzu’s Art of War, but for American politics, and it’s just filled with obvious advice like “have a candidate that people like,” and “actually engage with the voters instead of just saying vote for me or you get the other guy.”

Govt still deliberately ignoring they have European Convention duties and obligations and the EHRC which is similarly bound isn't doing its job properly.

Not a surprise but shows how willfully blind and bigoted they are. I'm left wondering if a full impact assessment would show them up.

I hope we can believe in this ceasefire in Gaza.

The scars of the last 2 years will run for many decades.

Incalculable generational trauma.

How is it ever going to be possible to more forwards positively from these horrific events?

So rather than ask @eddavey.libdems.org.uk heading a 72 MP Party what he thinks about Blair governing Gaza

Sky asks Farage who has a total of (checks notes as the number keeps changing).. currently just 5 MPs what he thinks

Yet another example of not MSM promoting the toxic turd over others❗️😡
Nigel Farage says Tony Blair 'not my choice' to help govern Gaza but understands Donald Trump's logic
Donald Trump has said former Labour prime minister Sir Tony Blair would head up a "Board of Peace" in Gaza.

5/ I once described the Supreme Court judgment in Scottish Ministers (and its fallout) as “borders on the illogical, pushes past irrationality”.

Expecting the courts to act rationally, then, may be asking too much.
4/ They say “men” and “women” are just words with a “purpose”, they no longer refer to actual people. And it’s so fucked up, it borders on the illogical, pushes past irrationality, and makes you seriously question the education of the judges involved.

Some transgender people see only darkness in front and behind them.

The current climate is especially accelerating this.

Transgender people just want to love the people they love and live their lives as themselves.

This is a fundamental point that 99% of higher-ed coverage, and 100% of immig coverage, have missed.
A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.

Anti-trans hate group Genspect is formally calling for trans people to be repathologized. This is most certainly to set the stage for mandated conversion therapy and potentially forced institutionalization.

A whole Royal Commission is needed to investigate the whole war on trans in the UK. It's a hate campaign which involves the destruction of institutions just to go after one small group of people which sets a dangerous precedent for everyone.

The fight against section 28 took LGBTQIA+ rights to equal marriage and beyond.

The fight against the Transphobic Moral Panic needs to take us further towards equality for everyone.

But right now?

Safety. Healthcare. Protection from discrimination. Human rights.

Velázquez: Donald Trump did not care a bit about safer communities when he released those who were convicted of beating the shit out of police officers. So, don’t come to us and talk about security and safer communities when you do that

It is *very* important to understand that Jews were never the only target of the 1930s Nazis and they are not the only targets of today’s Nazis. A Nazi salute is not only antisemitic. It is also racist, ableist, and queerphobic.

A similar thing happened in Japan based on a eugenics bill modeled after Nazi law. 25,000 disabled and mentally ill people were sterilized - most of them forcibly - due to a law passed in 1948. The country didn’t repeal this law until *1996*.
