Second, and more complicated board etched and also a success! I'd say applying vinyl cut from a Circuit direct to copper and then etching is successful and dare I say reasonably easy! No toner, no UV, etc.

Let's hope I just designed it as well as I etched .... 🤣

Holy **** I think this worked way better than I expected. The layout is probably a crime against PCB design humanity. But for my first attempt and doing this with a technique barely mentioned on the internet I'm extremely happy with this. Now I just need to drill some tiny holes ....

This is a very basic 6 bit DAC (untested) using resistors to set up a ladder of voltage dividers. The first pin outputs half the voltage, the second pin outputs half of that and so on, all added up. This means you treat all pins as a binary number that adds up to the voltage you want.

First time doing a proper display at a Lego show, setup done, show tomorrow. And what a venue!
Supersonic Brick Show if you are interested and in the Bristol Area!

Nice, but I think in order for magnification to work for me I'd want it attached to my head. I know some mini painters use stuff like this, but I want to check with the optician first as this will probably affect my reading at some point in the future. I'm already compensating by holding books away.

Wired up my Class 20 with front and rear lights. First thing I had to implement? Disco mode! The feature no one asks for on trains but you are getting it anyway.

Checks out. 2024 was the year I discovered Orbit Culture. They displayed my Haken obsession for the last few years. 0.5% top listener hahaha whoops.

If you are a fan of metal you should go listen to both bands tbh.

#1 but this is missing the iconic controller I had for the Amiga, the Zipstick.
