The same Cecil Rhodes who was a colonialist and founded Rhodesia, and after whom the Rhodes scholarship is named. In the 60s, the Rhodes Centre became a key venue on the band touring circuit. Attached are names and posters of bands who played here! (2/2)

I usually don’t post non-lab related stuff, but this is interesting! I live in a town 35 miles north of London. A 5 minute walk from my house is the South Mill Arts Centre. Previously, it was called the Rhodes Complex because it was built as an annexe to the house where Cecil Rhodes grew up (1/2).
