This is exactly the approach we've taken with our observability platform with intelligent agents and a federated control plane.

Given how high people's observability bills are, I gotta feeling the practice of analyzing logs and metrics locally is going to take off.

A federated control plane could provide a "single pane of glass" while edge devices do the heavy lifting.
The Observability landscape is rapidly changing. The ingestion based pricing model is going to have a ton of pressure from a new breed of Observability vendors who will compete on value.

OpenTelemetry & Agentic AI is changing the game.

Excited to be a part of KCD Warsaw. I love the interactions and conversations I get to be a part of these events.

I learn so much and the experiences and feedback I gather has really helped the growth of Randoli Observability platform.

My go to screen to quickly check the status of Microservices, is the Network Map of a Kubernetes cluster.

📌 I can immediately get a sense of the impact if any of my key services are down.

📌 Figure out what to prioritize and then drill down to troubleshoot

What's yours?

When building our SRE Agent using #Langchain we wanted to gain visibility into the call stack & keep track of models, tokens, latency, cost etc. We used that foundation to build LLM Observabilty.

We recently had a bunch of issues in our dev env. Our SRE Assistant provided a good analysis - identifying scheduling issues, widespread image pullback issues due to missing dockerhub creds etc.

Reach out if you want to find out more.

🟥 RED Metrics: A Better Way to Understand What Your Users Are Experiencing

Most teams track CPU and memory for system health.

But here’s the catch:
✅ Low CPU ≠ Happy Users
✅ High memory ≠ Slow App

If you're not looking at request-level behaviour, you're missing what customers are experiencing.

🚨 Here are 5 tips (+ 1 bonus tip) on how to reduce your observability costs and increase your ROI

📌 1. Look at your customer journeys and understand how you can measure the user experience. Use that for creating your SLOs.

Are there any downsides to having platform abstractions? 🤔

📌Our initial product was an internal developer platform + portal. We eat our own dog food. So once it was operational we used it for about a year before we pivoted.

When there's an issue, I generally like to understand the events leading up to it as it helps to narrow down the root cause

⛑️ There are multiple events related to a particular item. Each event caries a status among other meta data. These update events can happen every few seconds to every few hours

Our journey into becoming an Observability vendor wasn't a straight line. We were always driven by how can we help customers make sense of what went wrong (root cause analysis) and more ambitiously warn that it may be trending that way (proactive insights).

SRE Teams face two challenges

📌 Identifying Issues quickly
📌 Figuring out how to resolve the issues

Randoli Observability solution powered by #opentelemetry can help you with both! It can

💡 Automatically detect issues
💡 Match Runbooks to the issues
