Edmonton City Council Candidate for Ward Nakota Isga 🌞
Today I’m celebrating my mom, the strongest woman I know.

As a Filipino immigrant, she made countless sacrifices so our family could have a better life. She worked long hours, faced barriers with courage, and never stopped believing in the value of community.

I attended the Britannia-Youngstown Community League AGM this week, and it was so much more than just a meeting.

Before the formal agenda began, the League hosted an open forum with EPS, Councillor Knack, and Sage, creating space for neighbours to connect, ask questions, and share concerns.

Luksang Bayan Edmonton: Filipino communities and organizers of #YEG are hosting a Candlelight Vigil for the victims of the Lapu-Lapu Day Festival Tragedy in Vancouver. We call upon our community to come together and support each other during this period of collective grief.

Lapu Lapu is a symbol of Filipino courage and resistance. It’s immensely heartbreaking that a festival held in his honour was touched by violence and tragedy in Vancouver last night.

We hold each other close today. Ingat po kayo. 🇵🇭🫂

For many in the Christian faith, today marks a meaningful celebration of hope and renewal. For others, it’s a time to gather with loved ones, share a meal, and enjoy the arrival of spring.

However you celebrate, I hope today brings you peace, and connection. Happy Easter! 🐰🐣

Honoured to attend the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce Café Pink event today in celebration of the International Day of Pink!

Big thanks to the Chamber for bringing us together to uplift the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and to champion kindness and inclusion in our workplaces and beyond. #YEG

It has been an absolute pleasure getting to hear from old coworkers, fellow market vendors, family friends, even old teachers, and getting to share this journey with all of you. I have been so humbled by the support and I can’t wait for these connections to grow.

International Women’s Day goes beyond celebrating the women in your lives. It’s a call to action.

With March also being Women’s History Month we need to remember that the rights we have now have been hard-earned they were not merely given but borne out of struggles that spanned generations.
