Do A Powerbomb is a rollercoaster of a ride. Calling it just a wrestling tournament arc would be an understatement

Fast-paced and action-packed yet also surprisingly heartfelt.

Every issue ups the ante.

I teared up at the beautiful ending. An incredibly satisfying story.

Starfire's intelligence in NTT #37 is understated

She's the one who works out who the perpetrator in their missing persons case could be and because she is knowledgeable about her previous enemies, she knows a potential hideout.

DC letting her down right now

A standout to me was how colonialism was used by The Order to further their standing and power. Other countries/cultures had their way of dealing with the monsters, yet they were treated as "rivals", to either be assimilated or eliminated. A depressing reflection to reality.

Book of Cutter is a fascinating look at the politics and history of The Order.

We are given more information about the rest of the world of Something Is Killing The Children.

The structure is of a student learning in London, including book extracts and diary entries

Dick's schedule is making me secondhand exhausted

Working on his own, with the TT, and with Batman as well as going to school and helping out at the circus 😭

"He's one of the most wonderful people I know"

Donna and Dick's platonic love is always so refreshing and cute

(What ruins the moment is Terry Long being such a blight on this story, and the way their romance is framed in a positive light, urgh Donna deserves better)

Matheus Lopes knocks it out the park with his phenomenal colouring. These two pages are just examples of how amazing it is.

This with Samnee's art and Waid's writing is an incredible combination.

with the social worker just to give looks at Bruce when she isn't looking. However, we're reminded of Dick's actual age, despite how mature he is, at the prospect of going to school.

Waid balances Dick's characterisation perfectly.

The entire sequence with the social worker is fantastic. Poor Alfred being stressed. Dick getting himself fully dressed just for Alfred to make him put on pyjamas instead to show he'd "only just gotten up". Dick intentionally making himself look and act younger-

Little moments like this throughout the book showcase Bruce's understanding and care for Dick. We're seeing the building blocks of how Robin got so good at reading Batman.
January 25, 2025 at 12:47 PM
Bruce ordering Dick to leave him behind and getting momentarily upset that Dick even came to help. However, then he thanks Dick and reassures him how he's a lot more experienced at being a vigilante.
Batman's annoyance is with the new villain, not Robin.

Finally have a chance to gush over Batman and Robin: Year One #4
One of the strongest issues of the series so far.

Black Magick is a detective story with a supernatural twist. The plot isn't the most original but it's executed fantastically by Rucka.

I found myself rooting for the main character, Rowan and her happiness.

The standout to me is Scott's art. I found myself entranced by all the intricate details.

Caught up on What's the Furthest Place From Here?

One of the most unique post-apocalyptic scenarios I've ever read. Morbid yet endearing, phenomenal worldbuilding. Multifaceted characters.

The drip-feed of information makes reveals so much more satisfying. A fantastic story!

This cover is everything. Dick literally on a tight rope between his past and his present but he's so calm.

He won't fall because he's a Flying Grayson 🥺

A phenomenal ending! This series is a love letter to fans of the Sandman and John Constantine.

Cutting commentary, the supernatural and a manipulative, cunning bastard of a main character, what's not to love
