Wapito blooming in my small stock tank converted to native pond. This tank is fed from a downspout off my roof. The pond has hosted 2 years of pacific chorus frogs as well, so I'm considering it a success. Skamania County, Washington

My first biochar burn went great. We didn't use a kiln, just a pile that we added to as the wood burned. The biochar will be top dressed around my fruit trees and in the veg beds. #biochar #gardening #PNWgardening 🌱

I'm in Washington State. There was about 5" of snow last week, and it's been below freezing nightly for a few weeks now. Rain yesterday. And surprise - last night I heard the Pacific Tree frog (aka Chorus Frog), Pseudacris regilla, singing at my pond 🌱 #organicgardening, #pnwgardening

This goat weathers the snow just fine. His winter coat is as deep as my fingers are long. #WAWX

Love the idea of bloom scrolling today. Here's a rose that I got as a freebie from a local nursery. At the time it was a scraggly couple of twigs that they couldn't sell. When I showed the nursery owner the photo she said it was probably "At Last". 🌱

My grandmother's Christmas Cactus blooming for Christmas this year. She's bloomed for Easter, for Memorial Day, and for Thanksgiving in the past. I inherited this plant in the 1980s. Amazing.
