I painted a fish
Photo of a ceiling in a small room. There is a pastel coloured koi fish painted on a dark blue background. The pastel koi fish was a lie! Secretly, it was glow in the dark all along! The long exposure of a night photo does wonders for this fish, in person she’s much less dramatic (though still stunning) Phone sucks at capturing blacklight. The fish is a rainbow of colour under the blacklight, but when photographed mostly looks blue with a hint of green and pink.

Excellent news, I actually have new art to share!!! I’ve been taking my time with most of my Artfuck engagements but I have a few that are done now! The first two are retaliations that I finished yesterday within twenty four hours of each other, which feels very good!
Hespra and Torrance, for StSaccharine Torrance is very flustered to be presented before Hespra and their (unpictured) partner, and especially the suggestion that they might fuck him together! Despite appearances, this piece depicts the aftermath of a consensual encounter. HOWEVER: that shouldn’t matter considering it’s a PAINTING, and there’s no reason I shouldn’t be able to share a version of it that represents the aftermath of an assault, because NO ONE IS LIVING WITH THESE BRUISES.
In the aftermath of a fully consensual encounter with a bloodthirsty sadist who they explicitly trust and encouraged to do this to them, Hespra lies horribly bruised and bleeding on a sheet on the floor next to the fire. Despite the image visually depicting a sleeping elf who could very well be straight up dead, the moment this is drawn from is one of blissful peace and warmth; the most important part of which being that this character is an ELF, they’re not a real person, and this doesn’t depict reality. That fact remains true if I had painted them with human features. Censorship of illustrated non-consent protects nobody and is a risk of causing frustration that can lead to an increase in actual real-world assaults. The probibition didn’t stop alcohol consumption—people just made their own at home, without any oversight, and many died or were seriously harmed. Banning artistic expression for the sake of capitulating to puritan megalomaniacs is no better than banning canned beer, especially when there already exists self-moderation tools such as labels, lists, tags, muted words, and the block button that enable individuals who don’t want to see these things to completely avoid them.

Obviously that fact is far more important than that this is a hand-drawn illustration of fantasy characters. Lord save us there’s an elf covered in blood giving head to a very large female torso. How this could ever be allowed is beyond me, even though it’s roughly hand painted and clearly illustrated, and the characters are obviously of some fantasy persuasion. The really wild part is that there’s no way to tell from the image alone that this is meant to be metaphorical WITHIN the fantasy, and that even the characters as they are would recognize this as being creative exploration of emotion and not a literal depiction of a violent or dangerous act.
