This scene but it’s me purchasing an obscene amount of snacks from Trader Joe’s during a holiday weekend.

Well, while browsing books to place my order, I saw that my first book, An Ordinary Age, is a staff pick, with a beautiful, truly generous staff recommendation. This totally made my day. Thank you, @loyaltybooks.bsky.social!

June marks 2 years since All the Gold Stars published. I think about the stories people shared for this book often. So grateful for the generosity of those who supported the book, for readers, & for everyone who shared their stories about changing or expanding ambition for these pages. 💚⭐️

4 years ago, my first book, An Ordinary Age, published. Seems like a lifetime ago, still doesn't feel real. Forever grateful for the chance to have written it, for the incredible generosity shown to me by so many people, & for every time someone shares that it made them feel seen in some way. 💛

This is my galley—all the dog-eared pages don't capture the underlining throughout. This is one of the most important, urgent books I've ever read, and it's brilliantly reported with so much precision and care. I don't think I'll ever stop thinking about it.

Need everyone to know that for a final performance of Boston Ballet's Nutcracker, they costumed the party scene dolls as Elphaba and Glinda and even included the viral finger-hold moment. (Screenshot because it won't show the preview, but watch the IG video! Link: www.instagram.com/reel/DEP8Rsx... )
