Even though a lot of the communications we've gotten are basically "here's more bad news here's how we're trying to address it but we may all end up screwed", I appreciate the efforts my university has taken to keep students informed about the ongoing changes and how it may affect us.

I spent most of my teens and 20s in those places and remember some telling people to tone down the slurs and rhetoric to be taken more seriously.

I want to add that these trans people serve in critical roles in the military, they aren’t expendable. The military has spent time and money training them, and they have served honorably.

This makes the military weaker, dishonors the service members themselves, and will be a dark stain.
