Good to hear your experience wasn't that, but I have had friends for whom the baby was a cry for help. They needed a support network, and thought getting pregnant would provide it. A safety net, assistance, someone to hear them. Not entirely sure it works like that in this place any more.

I've been answering some of the worldbuilder questions but it's been a bit of a ride away from writing this year. Lots of changes at work, and my health has been crap since October last year so plenty of clinic and consultant visits in the mix too.
