Well, the game is unfinished, so maybe if Core were given the okay to go through with it, they might have redesigned a lot of stuff during production, including Melissa to look more like this (concept art that can also be found in the 20 Years of Tomb Raider book).

I made a tumblr post about this, but lately I've been thinking about how Core Design's canceled Tomb Raider Anniversary was going to include a co-op feature with Lara's cousin Melissa Carter, and how I wish she could be a proper character, with a voice and all 🥺

Man, I know it can be fun to find all the ways to unalive Lara, but I can't help but feel bad for making Lara stay underwater until she drowns just for the sake of the Deadline trophy, especially because it takes an almost agonizingly long time.
I hope she can forgive me 😔

Finally trying out Tomb Raider 1's New Game+ mode, and I don't remember the old save crystals looking like that 🤔
(Also, I'm taking full advantage of being able to change Lara's outfit now, and I made her wear something more appropriate for snowy mountain caves just because 😂)
