I'm in a very dark place right now. I miss my friends, I miss one especially. No, just having them back doesn't make everything fine obviously, but it's easier to cope with someone than do it alone. It's cool to be the lone wolf when you're young, but you reach a point where you need partnership.

I live in a timeline where all of this bullshit is happening, and the White House press secretary says the biggest priority for the President is the construction of a ballroom as they demolish a part of the WH for it 🤷 You wind up lost for words, nothing I say can capture how fucked this is.

I think one of the saddest things I see among Democratic voters right now is them citing all the big-name Dems as potential presidential candidates, just waiting for corporate media to tell them who to vote for.

This really fucking hurts. This band was a leader of my transition from kid to adolescent tween/teen and remans a fave of mine. And a mere 7 years older than me too. Too many losses in my world, way too many. Give me something good universe, please.

Happy to see that it appears the protests went off without major brutality, injuries, arrests. But also sad because I see the general consensus being that this won't change anything, cause it doesn't affect the wealthy peoples and corporations $$$ in the slightest...

I fear now though. We have ICE and other unmarked Gestapo and secret police, running roughshod now, literally just going up to random people and rounding them up with no warning, abducting people in broad daylight, opening fire on cars, holding kids hostage, and that is just in everyday life.

I have concerns about the No Kings protests happening tomorrow. While I had some issues with some of the corporate Dem astroturfing trying to take over and silence the grassroots and progressive foundations of the movement in the initial one months back, I didn't have fear for anyone attending them.

Found out a former co-worker of mine died several days ago. Half my age. He had left the job and while helping the power company cut down damaged trees, was electrocuted. Just like that, gone. Another reminder to always talk to people, cause you never know when you won't be able to again.
