An 81-year-old Reagan appointee born during World War II has been protecting trans people in federal prison in the face of Trump admin efforts.

Today, Judge Royce Lamberth sided with challengers who sought a class-wide preliminary injunction protecting hormone therapy and social accommodations.

And this right here is why I love lawyers.
In the law firm executive order cases, DOJ takes the position that an injunction barring implementation will only be enforceable against the govt agencies named in the complaint. So Perkins Coie just amended its complaint to name all the relevant fed agencies. The case caption is now 40 pages long.
