I'm not against using generated VO as placeholder — we've been doing that since Dreamfall Chapters, to test the tech, tools, timing — but the moment we replace those robot voices with real actors is always a revelation, bringing new life to the characters, and I don't ever want to lose that.

That's true, although Norwegians are also used to long roads and wide open spaces, and driving from the southern tip to the northern tip of Norway takes 35+ hours on a good day. But you're right: the vast distances and infinite horizons in the American west are particularly appealing to Norwegians.

Deserts are beautiful! But Dustborn also includes mountains, prairie, cities, farmland, forests — from the Pacific Northwest to Maine, via Salt Lake City, Boulder, Detroit, New York City. We put a LOT of America in there…and if we ever make a sequel, the plan is to cover parts of the south as well.
