We typically do a “bridge trial” with multiple (up to 6) cycles on and off of ECMO using PA cath and echo to assess tolerance. Sometimes patients don’t un ravel until the 5th or 6 cycle which prompts re thinking exit strategy, optimize volume/inotrope, and consider other right sided temp MCS
