I have been known to adda drop of iodine to my coffee (it won’t change the flavor) instead. I also use a garlic press if I’m not up for chopping garlic. BUT, also feel it’s ableist to judge people for using jarlic or other preprepped food, and classist to assume everyone can afford fancy cheese.
