A federal court ruled Justice Allison Riggs won her election to the NC Sup Ct b/c she got the most votes & you can't "change the rules of the game after it had been played." A state court previously tossed many votes, incl overseas votes of members of our client @usvotefoundation.bsky.social.

Even *if* you accept Stephen Miller’s (textually, historically, and morally indefensible) claim that undocumented immigrants are not entitled to due process, you’d *still* need due process to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented.

His argument fails even on its own terms.

Democratic Governor Tony Evers has successfully increased school funding for the next 400 YEARS in Wisconsin by crossing out a few numbers in a bill to change it from “2024–25” to “2425.”

The state Supreme Court just upheld his right to do so.

A federal court’s jurisdiction does *not* stop at the water’s edge. The question is whether the *defendants* are subject to the court order, not *where* the conduct being challenged takes place.

Were it otherwise, the government could act lawlessly overseas and courts would be powerless to stop it.

anyways more seriously, this blog post basically breaks down the problem: parties, as they are traditionally understood, are illegal in the united states. the mechanisms that would allow someone to formally lead the party absent a presidential primary--don't exist!
