One nightmare is a major dialogue catalyst in Polar Opposites, a half done, to be finished later WIP short story.

For a moment, I thought I was a Czech without checks (ha! I'll show myself out). Turns out the beginning of Dear Brother has several of them.

Meet (once again) Xin, the titular brother, trying to take good care of what remains of his family, post-Fall.

A lot of "beds" in Dear Brother. Let's go with this one, near the end.

Everything is absolutely fine when you wake up in a virtual reality in a home you know no longer exists... and a little pale boy with amber eyes comes to greet you. I am sure of it.

Oh boy. There is one "apparently" by the end of Dear Brother, 2 short stories (and 7 inworld years) before the last snippet.

The time is almost out, all the cards are laid out on the table... and a brother needs to make a choice.

This is "A New Dawn" again, with MC being a former minor character who became my favorite.

Also, THE titular character from (an unwritten) story linking all these just casually shows up. Without warning me, ofc. Sequence, the very 1st world's true AI.

Odd speech format is to signal digital chat.

That prompt is evil, and you know it! 😁 Don't try to look innocent!
