If you're a Rust programmer, your take away from the incident should not be that you should not unwrap, but it should be that you need to have a strategy for handling panicking, and you need to consider that strategy every time you unwrap, and ensure that recovery is properly implemented and tested

I switched to a keyboard.io model 100 about two years ago. It tanked my WPM but I really didn't care cause it solved by RS pain.

though, I guess I've gotten better since I just got a 142 wpm/98% on a short unpracticed monkeytype session 😅

(dvorak btw)

Yeah I guess that was pretty vague. It's the amount of lag in a software service we run at my job.

Each bump was a particular customer sending us another huge amount of traffic, and the nosedive at the end was actually me fixing bugs so the service could handle the load better

ok I really don't want to ask where you spend your time because it's obviously a personal intrusion, but you are really doing a good job of piquing my interest in cafe bars in pittsburgh

login isn't working for me. I'm trying to log in with just my handle and an app password - do I need to put in a PDS URL if I have a custom domain handle?
