Even at the time I found that Network SE livery horrible. Always reminded me of early 1980's England shellsuits - photos of which seem to have been eradicated from the internet, but here's the general look:

Worth reminding people that they can turn on a feature that prevents posting an image without ALT text, so you can never forget!

I agree. Some modern bike lights are amazing compared to the expensive to run, glowing yellow things that we had when I was a kid!

Windy.com image from seconds ago. I don't know how they do it, nor how accurate it is, but they sure are hypnotising images

If you're going to hang up flags, do it for a festival and do it PROPERLY!

Soriano nel Cimino, Italy getting in on some patriotic St George flag action!

Actually he may have a point. They are probably pretty dangerous to amphibians like him.

Looking at the map view of responses, the brexity/reform types are not happy. Starmer might have succeeded in uniting the country!

Well my first sourdough loaf was a bit mediocre. Happy with texture and taste, but it's very flat! The overnight rise was very good - more than doubled in size. Followed Paul Hollywood method to the letter. Any suggestions?

I don't go over there any more. Maybe someone still on X can confirm this is genuine?

I wonder if America has anything similar to the Covid Memorial Wall in London? A visual representation of the continually senseless loss might shock them to action?

Pleasantly surprised by the lack of St George flags on a 4 mile walk in our area. One out of 5 meat bridges had a small one, a few scruffy ones on the allotments and a couple of sign posts. One proudly flying on a proper flagpole at a memorial which felt sort of "right" for me. 1/2

One easy way would be to claim back the flag and fly it with progressive words/thoughts written across the red part. "Welcome", "Equality", "Love", "Unity" etc.

That would pull the rug out from under the racists. It might also force them to articulate their beliefs more clearly.

Comparison with our closest neighbours is sobering. I think very few Brits realise this.

As I continue my quest to "de-americanise" my life, I may have come across a chink in my armour. The gardens at The American Museum in Bath are fabulous!

Interesting, it has reduced in the last couple of years since I last checked. Of course there are appeals after that - the figure I see on Migration observatory is 66% success after appeals.

UK doing OK today despite it not seeming that sunny or windy round our way. How many tons of CO2 has that saved?
