And it begins. As the new administration intensifies its attacks on transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming communities, the urgency to support organizations like Sisters PGH has never been greater. Unlike larger cis-led queer organizations, Sisters PGH does not have the financial means to weather this storm without the support of our community. This administration's policies threaten to bury grassroots, trans-led organizations like ours. But we know our community is strong, and together, we can persevere. Sisters PGH is committed to protecting and uplifting trans lives through vital programs such as: • Monica Roberts Place, providing housing for Black and Brown trans individuals. • The Stonewall Inn, a drop-in space for trans people in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, offering direct services and community support. • Project T, a transitional housing program for Black trans women and girls. • Rent and Utility Support Program, helping trans individuals prevent evictions and stay in safe housing. • Name Change Clinics, providing essential legal support for those seeking name changes. • SistersPHL, expanding our reach to provide resources and advocacy in Philadelphia and beyond. This morning, Sisters PGH staff are heading to Creating Change with heavy hearts. It's hard to even smile under the weight of what our communities are facing, but we know we must keep pushing forward. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has reached out and asked how they can help.
