Dad life. Die-hard Habs fan. I like my jokes like my hockey: often misunderstood but always entertaining! Movie buff: still waiting for the sequel to my life!
1) The Canadiens got bounced 4-1 by the Capitals in the 2025 playoffs for a mix of tactical, physical, and mental L’s. Here’s why Washington owned ‘em:

Since the first goal, the #Habs have been outplayed in every aspect. Ottawa is faster, sharper, and hungrier. Montreal needs a serious wake-up call. #GoHabsGo

Cole Caufield scored an electrifying, goal-of-the-year candidate, undressing the Celebrini with a filthy move before roofing a perfect shot past the stunned goaltender. #gohabsgo
Cole Caufield walks Macklin Celebrini and calls game in OT.

Habs Dominate! Montreal shuts out the Canes 4-0 with stellar goaltending and relentless offense! Carolina struggled to find their game, while the Habs took full control. The team looked fast and confident all night! And Slaf is on fire 🔥 🚨🔵⚪🔴 #GoHabsGo #HabsWin #Shutout

We are back! Big 5-2 win for the Habs! Slafkovský had his best game of the year, dominating with confidence and skill. If he can sustain this level, it changes everything for the team. Montembeault solid, special teams clicked, and the effort was there. Let’s see if they can build on it! #GoHabsGo

Playing Devil’s Advocate

While Kent Hughes has made several commendable moves as the Canadiens' GM, it's important to take a step back and critically assess some of his decisions. Without calling them outright mistakes, a few of his choices raise valid questions when viewed in hindsight

Brutal loss for the #Habs. Up 2-0, they collapse and lose 3-2 to the Ducks. The offense was disjointed, with Laine, Dach & Slaf creating more broken plays than real chances. The defense struggled—without Guhle, it was expected, but still disappointing. Tough one to swallow. Bye bye playoff #GoHabsGo

#Habs fall 4-3 in OT to the Devils. Let’s be honest, snagging a point in this one feels like a win. They struggled overall but gained momentum late in the 2nd and early 3rd. That’s two games without sustained rhythm. Dobes kept them alive, while the first line brought some offensive spark. Progress

The #Habs lost 4-2 to Detroit in a rare game where they were outplayed from start to finish. Hutson struggled, but Armia, Dach, and Guhle had honest efforts. Montembeault was shaky but made key saves. Now it’s about bouncing back Saturday—let’s hope they bring the energy. #GoHabsGo

1/ Habs beat the Bolts 3-2 in a gutsy win. After a rough 1st period filled with penalties and being outplayed, I thought they were doomed. But they killed every penalty, and Slaf’s opening goal was the spark they needed to turn things around. No one gave up.

1/ #Habs win 5-4 in OT vs Rangers! After the Leafs blowout yesterday, I said it’s about the response—and they delivered. Super entertaining game: lucky goals both sides, physicality, and great goaltending.

#Habs blew a 3-0 lead and lost 7-3 to the Leafs. Is it Montembeault’s fault? The defense? Or just Toronto’s talent? Either way, they’ve surprised us the past month. Let’s see how they respond before jumping to conclusions. It’s all part of the process with a young squad. #GoHabsGo

1/ The #Habs pulled off a gutsy 3-1 win over the scorching-hot Stars, proving they can compete with the NHL's best. Dobes stole the show yet again, remaining undefeated in a Habs jersey. Joel Armia had his best all-around game, capped with an empty-netter. This was no easy game but Habs fought hard

1/ Tough 2-1 OT loss for the #Habs against Dallas. We were lucky to get a point—after our first goal, Dallas took over with a smarter, more disciplined game. Laine was a standout, scoring on the PP. Newhook showed great speed, but Slaf struggled with broken plays, and Matheson/Carrier had off nights

1/ Here’s my opinion on the #Habs’ season so far: At the halfway mark, the Canadiens are a mixed bag. Flashes of brilliance from Evans, Laine, and Caufield give fans hope, but inconsistency is glaring. Evans' energy and surprising offense, paired with Laine’s PP dominance, keep them afloat.

The #habs triumphed 4-3 in overtime against the top-ranked Capitals. Despite a slow start, trailing early, they surged back in the second period. The first line led the charge, with Captain Nick Suzuki sealing the win in OT (what a game for him). A gritty performance against a tough opponent! Wow !

What a thriller! The #Habs edge the Canucks 5-4 in OT! Lane Hutson was electric, dominating all over the ice. Slaf bounced back with a strong game, but dumb penalties and a shaky Montembeault kept it tense. With this win, Montreal is in a playoff spot for the first time since 2021! #GoHabsGo

Since the Habs scored, Vancouver's game has completely fallen apart. #GoHabsGo #VANvsMTL

While things got messy and disorganized afterward, the Habs just scored—let's see if this sparks them to really elevate their game! #habs

Since the Caufield goal, the #habs game has become disorganized and lacking focus.
January 7, 2025 at 1:55 AM
The #Habs’ 3-game win streak ends with a 4-2 loss to the Hawks. MTL played well but couldn’t solve Arvid Söderblom, who stood on his head. Slaf struggled tonight with turnovers and broken plays in the D-zone. Overall, not a bad team effort. Tough to win when the opposing goalie is that sharp

Big 5-2 win for the #Habs over Tampa! Momentum carried over from yesterday, fueled by recent additions Carrier & Laine, who bring much-needed offense and stability. Their presence lets everyone find their role. Evans and Heineman had incredible games—underrated players stepping up big! #GoHabsGo

Shutting out the defending champs 4-0 is a massive achievement! Dobes was stellar, stopping all 33 shots for a shutout in his NHL debut—what a moment for him. Dach’s performance was electric, showing his full potential. Evans has been incredible this year, truly a game-changer. A total team effort!

#Habs falls 5-4 to Columbus, ending their winning streak after a 3rd-period collapse. Up 4-3 at one point, they couldn’t hold on. Armia and Evans had solid games, but Masterson and Montembeault struggled. Tough loss for the Habs—a reminder there’s still plenty of work to do.
