Happy to spend my lunch hour today listening to Dr. Lea Ravensbergen and Rachel Johnson speaking about their work on the gender gap in cycling in Hamilton.

In 2025, safety concerns are the top reasons cited by women when asked what prevents them from cycling more / at all.

Back when I only owned a road bike with reallll skinny tires, I relied on bikeshare all winter. Didn't have to deal with winter maintenance at all

Some favourites from a recent trip to Seattle. I enjoyed walking around this city & managed to sneak in an "underground" walking tour. The tour guide joked about how Seattle is just as hilly as other west coast cities but it's "not well-advertised"
