That’s the point for me - get the things you wouldn’t normally treat yourself to as real life is expensive enough already! Currently on a train to London…Liberty’s calls! X

It’s shocking here. Grey grey grey and drizzle - eurgh! Stay warm x

…and vanity! Forgot that but above!

BBC article by @wyredavies.bsky.social is fascinating about this! Intrigue, but equally naivety (I appreciate the role of hindsight in this comment). I struggle to find any form of empathetic response except for the damage to the political landscape in this country.

Saturday morning and it’s chilly…hope you both are snuggly on Serenissima! Another gorgeous interlude and fabulous disruption to the bombardment of Black Friday emails! Loved the Pisani and Red Priest! And of course San Rocco! Xx

Amazing. Thank you. Xx

Have screen-shotted (grammatically clunky phraseology) the bars! But that would be amazing! Aiming to there for Carnevale as I have never been in Venice for that!!!!!
November 14, 2025 at 11:12 PM
I ❤️❤️❤️ the bar crawl in Venice!
November 14, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Current Charles Faves - Ieri Si (heir encore) in Italian…and Morire d’amore! Fabulous!
November 14, 2025 at 10:26 PM
Oh no!! It’s grim here. I was seen in public in a Dry Robe!!! That’s how bad it was in Norfolk. Stay warm! And if you can get on Channel 4/Walter (their foreign language programming) Don’t Leave me - set in Venice (stark but great to see a gritty Venice) and Lolita Lobosco set in Bari
November 14, 2025 at 10:26 PM
I love the Italian version - having indulged in the box-set of Lolita Lobosco on Channel 4 online, I am now enjoying downloads of Charles Aznavour in Italian!

And don’t get me started on Schengen limitations! And Brexit…! Have you left Brum yet!? X
November 14, 2025 at 10:18 PM
Just the best half an hour - thank you!!! A bit of Shirl and Venice. Amazing! Heading back in February…Florence next month…and just about recovered from flu in Positano/ then Rome! Looking forward to next week’s film! ❤️
November 14, 2025 at 9:42 PM
Boat - yes…the Amalfi boat - does Naples, Sorrento to Capri and then Positano - just under 2 hours which is less than Circumvesuviana to Sorrento and bus!
November 2, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Excellent - trying to think if we did anything new this time…probably not…boat from Positano to Naples, cute apartment in Positano rather than a hotel…and sunshine! 🥰
November 2, 2025 at 11:25 AM
They have trains!
November 2, 2025 at 11:16 AM
We’re back too! After Positano, Turin was its usual very chilled self! Welcome back! Enjoy the other La Serenissima
November 2, 2025 at 9:52 AM
Amazing! What are your plans for Ognissanti? We are in Turin! Not sure if they do Halloween! Our little family trip to Positano with a stop over in Rome is coming to an end! The next half term calls!!! 😥
October 31, 2025 at 4:15 PM
Wow. Does the marathon route go there too?
October 31, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Every day is a learning opportunity - just wiki-ed 11th November and now reacquainted myself with the story of St Martin of Tours!
October 31, 2025 at 2:10 PM
Rainy this evening here - 🤞🏼 for sunshine tomorrow - for us all. Although my friend has a small place near Monte Bianco…and has sent these photos! She took shorts 🤦🏼‍♀️
October 27, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Exactly - I’ll aim for couch to 5k with Jo Whiley chatting in my ear and providing an unachievable goal and role model!!! I have struggled with steps here in Positano today! Norfolk is not the best training ground for the Amalfi coast xx
October 27, 2025 at 8:07 PM
…were I to ever attempt a marathon…this would be it!!!! However I don’t feel I have a marathon in me!!!!
October 27, 2025 at 6:27 PM
That’s a great street!!! Flew over Venice today - the cloud over the Dolomites lifted as we got there! The Amalfi is sunny - but predictably chilly once the sun goes. View from the apartment…and the builders’ transport -!Have the best time
