Research Midwife and SEND Mum. Working in cancer research at the moment.

I like cats, crochet, cross stitch, and knitting.
I battle daily with the education system for our SEN kids.
I worked on the Novavax trials!
Last I heard it was available in the U.K. as an option for anyone who couldn’t have anything else.

But that was 1-2 years ago so not sure if that still stands.

It was certainly very well tolerated on our trials. Minimal side effects.

It was designed to perform a symphysiotomy in childbirth. Find your pubic bone, right in the middle. It was to cut through that. At a time when anaesthesia wasn’t a thing.

And it was designed to make things easier for the (male) surgeon. Because heaven forbid their hands get tired. 😢

Now you mention it, I do actually remember walking past it every day.

However I don’t remember thinking there was anything odd or unusual to look at! 😂😂😂

I don’t suppose there’s a picture of the shed is there? It sounds very cool.

(Not autistic. Have autistic son who frequently questions this. 😂)

What is it even for?
Prostin pessaries we insert digitally. Not sure how else you’d know you were in the right place.
Other pessaries (eg clotrimazole) come with an applicator, or you have ten inbuilt insertion devices that are freely available!

It’s on my mind because I have some left over yarn that I’ll probably turn into a cowl for my daughter.

Oh I am so on board with this! Never thought of it, but might make one for the dog and a Hornet for gamer son.

Agreed. I use 26 for most things.

So with reflective yarn?
Sure I’ve seen that somewhere. Need to try to find it again now.

A cowl? Hat and gloves?

Whoa!! No patterns?! She is amazing!

He looks perfect! I love his cute ears ❤️

Without knowing anything at all about wild fungi, my guess would be yes. That looks like a fairly innocuous mushroom and I would put it on a pizza.

And this is reason 3482 why I would not survive an apocalypse 😂

Midwife, not doctor. Currently working in cancer research and getting a bit of knowledge about urology. So I’d have to choose that.

Same general body area! 😉

I am terrified of all insects - but this is stunning!
September 20, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Noooooo. Is it a common pattern that someone might have to help you out?

Most chemists don’t have the right permissions to give to under 18s, so can’t get it that way either.

I’m VERY keen on vaccines and so if I give up, then I’m sure most people would give up trying at an earlier stage.

I’m in the UK. 2 kids. 1 meets criteria to get jabs because he’s autistic. Other does not.
Really hard to get flu jab for healthy child. Some years I’ve managed by getting a private Rx and giving it myself. Some years I haven’t managed at all.

That’s really shocking. 😢 I’m kind of surprised that there weren’t even any customers who helped. But the fact that there was a defib there and no one even went to get it just in case is desperately sad.
