Lulu died this weekend. I will miss her judgy, loud, snuggly, sweet and sour self so much. It was very weird coming home from work to an empty house. Goodbye best kitty.

Day 24: Christmas. A perfect ending.

Day 23: Rooibos Noel. Very tasty. But let's be real, it tasted like at least 5 other teas. A Christmas themed set of tea doesn't have that much variation, I've learned.

Day 20: Rooibos Nutcracker. I think I expected this to taste more like nuts? Instead it was generically Christmas spiced. Tasty though!

Day 19: Cranberry Nut Muffin Green. I don't know who came up with this baked goods as teas theme but I'm sceptical. This was nice but the muffin in the name put me off.

Day 18: Gingerbread. A black tea! Cue the triumphant chorus. And very tasty.

Day 17: Honeybush Blueberry Pancake. This smelled very strongly of semi-fake blueberry. It tasted nice, though. I enjoy a honeybush base for a no caffeine tea.
December 20, 2024 at 5:11 AM
Day 16: Coconut Snow Chai. A green rooibos, which I don't think I've had before. I do really love coconut in tea and it was nice with the spices.

Day 14: Autumn Mist Green. A green tea that tasted kind of caramelly. Unsure where the autumn mist comes in. But it was very nice.

Day 13: Bourbon Chocolate Ball. Okay, time for some real talk, there hasn't been a caffeinated tea in 11 days. This is sad, not just because I like black teas, but also because part of the fun of the Advent calendar is opening it up in the morning and having it with breakfast. 1/2

Day 12: Chicoriccino. I think this was supposed to taste like coffee? Might be my first chicory tea. It was fine.
December 15, 2024 at 6:23 AM
Day 11: Almond Cardamom Cake. I think this was a rooibos. Very almond, pretty nice.
December 15, 2024 at 6:22 AM
Day 10: Pomegranate Grove. Whoops, I fell really behind. Also I seem to have more photos than days, I'm not sure how that works. In any case, this was a fine herbal, but not to my taste (the fruity ones rarely are)

Day 9: Decaf Cream. This is the worst tea name ever. What is the thought process here?? Tea was good, though.
December 10, 2024 at 6:03 AM
Day 8: White Chocolate Peppermint. I was disappointed that it wasn't a black tea, but the rooibos worked really nicely with the peppermint.

Day 7: Cinnamon Rooibos Chai. Delightful! Had an almost honey flavour, and good strong spice.
December 9, 2024 at 4:43 AM
Day 6 (forgot to post last night): Yuletide Toddy. Another herbal. This was overwhelmingly hibiscus, not at all what I was expecting
December 8, 2024 at 2:59 AM
Day 5: Always Nuts. This was a pretty good herbal, although honestly I didn't get much in the way of flavour. I am once again struck by how many tisanes have an apple+hibiscus base, though.

Day 4: Cherry Marzipan Oolong. This is not for me.
December 5, 2024 at 1:57 AM
Day 3: Cranberry Cream. This was rooibos, cranberry, and I assume cream flavouring (I forgot to read the back). Tasted kind of artificial.

Lulu chomping at the tree. Since the top half of the tree no longer lights up, I'm contemplating putting it away again, but then Lulu would have to go back to chewing on the broom.

Day 2: pumpkin spice. Bought a bag of this when I bought the advent calendar, so I know it's a good one. Tasty!
