I’m super lucky it’s one of my local green spaces.

Also, thanks to you, I took a walk to look at the roses.

Sure enough, I found it!

I finally have a bracelet made by Lauren! My @peculiarityshop.bsky.social package arrived while I was away at Worldcon. I got back this morning and was finally able to open the package and try it on.

A movie that takes place where you're from:

This one's set where my father grew up and where my grandparents still lived during my childhood. I grew up about 25 minutes away by car.

I went grocery shopping today and came home with three new books. Oops!

(Yes, I did also buy the groceries)

Anyway, picked up two books I’d been looking for by @tkingfisher.com and @oliviawaite.com, plus one from the Nebula ballot so I can return the library copy.

Got my mystery box from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social! All of it is beautiful, and I love how the two necklaces are so different from each other.

Got my copy of The Martian Contingency by @maryrobinettekowal.com!

I know for a fact this wonderful book pairs perfectly with hamantaschen.

(And even if you don’t have home-baked hamantaschen, I highly recommend picking up a copy of it.)

It has eight candles plus the shamash, all freshly lit and burning. The puzzle piece that holds the shamash is set apart from the rest of the menorah because theres not enough of a height difference to distinguish it from the other candles.

Went grocery shopping today. The grocery store is in the same mall as my local indie bookstore.

Me as I entered the mall: I won’t go to the bookstore. Not gonna go to the bookstore…
