This isn’t border policy, it’s cruelty. It’s mass detention without trial and often no criminal records, and a growing prison-industrial complex that profits off human suffering. And paid for by giving up our healthcare coverage in this latest bill 💸

When billionaires write the rules democracy doesn’t stand a chance. We’re seeing it right now with the Big Beautiful Bill in the Senate, which may come to a vote as early as Thursday. Call your senators! 🔈

The government is rounding up people of legal residence, with no criminal record and sending them to a prison in El Salvador known for starvation and torture. They don’t get a trial. They don’t see a judge. They don’t get to contact a lawyer or their family. They just disappear.

What do you do for fun on the weekends? Oh I write out our civil liberties on an iPad bc I worry they’re being utterly forgotten. How about you?? 😅😬😭

The TV station that made Mr Roger’s work possible is in trouble; PBS, and NPR and education in general :/ Wish the people in charge understood that decency and compassion are not purely selfless acts. Our freedom and prosperity is deeply interconnected with the well-being of everyone.

Feeling a mix of panic, some good old fashioned disassociation, and a lot of How-TF-did-this-happen over the upcoming “broligarchy”. But we’re here, a couple days away from the inauguration. Choosing to focus on the things in front of me that bring joy. No feeling is final so keep going.

Republicans: why do you guys focus so much on Donald Trump? We don’t idolize him or anything…
Democrats: <insert painting that auctioned for $100k at his Bedminster club last night >
