My PhD was grant funded by OSEP. I have a service agreement. No idea if anyone is around to verify hours or answer questions. I know this is low priority for DoEd right now, but like, what do I do?

How the layoffs impact me personally is truly the least of my concerns, but it’s still a concern!

There's so much for us to fight for right now. It's devastating, exhausting, and it's also possible. We can't forget past and present organizers who have always been fighting for justice.

They have always shown us that collective resistance works. Let's do this, but never alone. ❤️

I miss Jamboard. I haven’t found anything that works as well, is completely free, and doesn’t require students to create accounts. Anyone find a great substitute yet?

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.

Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.

Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

Student: I have a question but I’m not sure if you can even answer it since you weren’t alive in the 70s

Me: That is the nicest thing anyone’s ever said to me 🥹

I did it. I made my entire asynchronous course in advance. Every assignment. Every due date. Every reading. All organized by week with a weekly message explaining the content. All set to open for students every Monday. Holy moly. Future Rachel will thank me.

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

New pub today, focused on the ethnoracial diversity of the special ed teacher (SET) workforce.

We found that -- at current rate of change -- the SET workforce will NEVER be ethnoracially representative of the population of students w/disabilities.
