random guy: so I'm newly into reading nonfiction and I'm trying to figure out what i like. what do you recommend?
me, a person who has been thinking for Weeks that i should start reading nonfiction:

Four Days Later....
a blurry photo as a cell phone falls over. on one half you can see most of a little black and purple catboy outfit. arms are up like im gonna sneak up on you but its just the instinctual arm retraction of "oh no that's not supposed to happen" photo from a hotel floor of most of gardening essek. except im lying down on the floor in a faux sexy pose, the area around my mouth is not painted purple, and im no longer wearing my gloves. hotel pic of orym staring off into middle distance with arms up almost in a T pose. out of cosplay photo outside the convention in a legend of zelda tshirt and cargo shorts. im standing next to a sign that says "caution crew working overhead" and my head is craned all the way up. there is no crew overhead unless they are in space.

guess who found a puppy in a cardboard box on the side of the road all by himself at 6am!!

almost-7yo nephew has been getting Really into pokemon lately
a list of pokemon in thick blue marker that takes up an entire piece of printer paper. they are numbered but don't follow any apparent logic as staryu is both #5 and #55. Most of them are misspelled, implying he wrote them from memory instead of copying from a pokedex. a from memory child's drawing of charmander, charmeleon, and charizard. they all have simple shapes and happy faces, and charizard in particular is only two orange ovals with little legs and blue mitten-shaped wings.

then I wore him... 3 times in 2019 (Podcon 2, Wondercon, San Diego TAZ book tour....) i should bring him back!

got some yarn in for a level 13 caleb scarf so i have a nice relaxing activity during critrole lol, progress so far tonight:

(we are not keeping her, one of my sister's cats is a dick so it would've been a longshot anyway but the vet techs were already making heart eyes at her so she was left as a good samaritan dropoff. cannot blame them she's so pretty and so sweet)

2013 vs 2024, from halloween at college graphic novel classroom to the masquerade stage, im always haunted by "i wanna wear that" so i've leveled up my skill out of necessity lol
a photo that is clearly taken with a self timer in a college dorm room in 2013 under fluorescent lights of a person who is trying to look so serious in their oversized "Robin from the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon but specifically the 2 episodes they were in the arctic" hoodie they made themselves out of fleece from JoAnn Fabrics and a utility belt made out of construction paper. their hands are on their waist and one of their green skinny jeans from Old Navy clad legs is slightly in front of the other. they're also wearing a pleather domino mask over their eyes. a photo taken by tealeafcosplay of the same cosplayer actually looking so serious. the time is 2024 the place is a hotel room during Anime Los Angeles. This time the cosplayer is wearing Essek Thelyss from Critical Role, their face is painted purple, they're wearing a short white curly wig, and they've made practically everything they're wearing. A purple tunic with decorative piping, a cropped jacket with wide embroidered sleeves, a silver mantle upon their shoulders, and black pants you'd think you could just buy and use but no you have to make them so you can put decorative piping on the outside seams. they're looking at a dodecahedron prop theyve also made. you cant see it here but it lights up, i promise.
