I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to endless speculation for the next 4 weeks about what will be in the Autumn Statement. I especially love precious face time with cabinet minsters being taken up with questions about something we know they won't answer until after Nov 26.

Totally agree with this, allowing the far right to force us to reframe everything isn't going to end well.
Selling ID cards as the way to stop illegal immigration rather than as a tool to simplify everyone’s lives is yet another colossal and very obvious mistake.
