After seeing the TV miniseries, I decided to read It… Probably a wrong choice for a 13 year old, especially when I got to THAT part… Also got in serious trouble when my teacher caught me reading it in class after I’d gotten done with the assigned work… oops lol.

I remember when the volcano exploded (yes i old lol) and I’ve seen countless videos… I was NOT prepared for the sheer enormity of the mountain.

The debris field along the trail I hiked. I was prob 8-10 miles from the mountain here.

I have several shots of that area when I was at Mt St Helen’s a few months ago, I can share on this thread if you’d like. I just don’t want to post a bunch you might not want to see LOL.

It was in the rear butt cheek and they made us roll around to spread it around in the muscle before it solidified. It was shot in warm so it’d go through the needle. I was USN and I’ve talked to friends in the other services and they didn’t get that one. Luck sob’s lol.

It was like an assembly line… Step forward! 3 POPs… Step forward! 2 POPs… Ugh… The only one that really bothered me was the Bicillin shot in the rear cheek… That one hurt for a week and had a dead leg on that side for about 2 days…

I just drove by there on my move to Alaska. Managed to hit St Helen’s, Hood, and Rainer in the same day! Beautiful country.

Can’t be worse than that or Twitler…
