Extremely niche rabbit-hole recommendation: do yourself a favour and google the beef between Dr. Gwenogvryn Evans and his ex-bff John Morris-Jones. Why? The latter's 200+ page SCATHING book review on the former's takes on 6th century Welsh bard Taliesin.
"But there is still one theory that stands in the way; it is Dr. Gwenogvryn Evans's Talesin theory, expounded in the introduction and notes which unfortunately accompany his beautiful reproduction and facsimile of the text of the Book of Taliesin, and in the companion volume of "amended " text and translation. Dr. Evans is a belated disciple of the Nashian school of thought; his theory rests ultimately on an unwillingness to believe that anything contained in the manuscript can be much older than the manuscript itself - it may be a little older, say a century, but to admit any real antiquity would be contemptible credulity. This is the mid-nineteenth century skepticism, which is akin to that of the person who is too knowing to be taken in by the truth. So Mr. Evans, like Nash, denies that anything in the Book of Taliesin was written before the twelfth century. But a mere negation affords no resting place to the mind; how is the composition of these poems in the twelfth century to be accounted for? Dr. Evans's great contribution is his answer to this question: Taliesin himself, though nobody suspected it before, lived in the twelfth century. That is the theory. He examined the text, and naturally, like Edward Davies before him, found confirmation of the theory everywhere. He believes in it passionately; his contempt for those who take the traditional view he fails, after many brave attempts, adequately to express, and is "reduced to a melancholy, thoughtful silence " , p. XXV. I yield to no one in my admiration for Dr. Gwenogvrgn [Evans]-" -Exerpt from Prof. John Morris-Jones' "Taliesin", published in Y Cymmrodor, 1918. with the addition of a red arrow I drew next to the hilarious final line on the page. "The service he has rendered by his gift far exceeds in lasting value that of any theorist however brilliant, for he has provided the student with the fundamental facts. Unhappily, for himself and for us, he is not satisfied with this. Why should he be a mere transcriber, a mere machine? Why should not he, too, have his say on matters of textual critiesm and literary history? His friends, he says, have tried to dissuade him. And finally, day five was today and we conquered one last mountain (it isn’t technically, we don’t have mountains in Finland, but you get the gist) on the way home. Koli is the only place I hadn’t visited before, and what a sight to behold, truly.

Day four was not a big one for photos but nevertheless, some more reindeer encounters as we were setting off from Luosto.
Kekri, my Pyrenean shepherd, delighted at spotting a potentially herdable animal. The animal in question being a baby reindeer doing a really big piss before casually continuing to head wherever the heck it’s going. A bunch of reindeer blocking my way to reception, namely a mum and baby reindeer right in front of the car deciding it’s breakfast time I guess. I believe the technical term for the amount of reindeer we witnessed in Luosto was “a shitload”.

Day three - or rather, yet another glimpse at the reindeer quota between Ruka, Posio and Luosto.

Day two - headed up to Salla for several really interesting local history exhibitions (all run by Kuolajärven Lapinkylä ry) and also stopped by Oulanka to see the Korvaamattomat exhibition by Juha Kauppinen and Janne Toriseva, and also Kiutaköngäs.
