When Kya shared she was queer, I just assumed we (the audience) didn't know whom she'd been with. That it was some relation from home or what not. Hadn't considered it was someone we'd seen like Lin, but I could see that being a thing as their parents and thus them would have seen each other a lot

I find it curious that all the veterans I know (family friends and peers) are LGBT. A pity so many may feel the need to hide that while they're in service.
