La Lune à un mètre (The Astronomer's Dream, 1898, dir. Georges Méliès) 🎥

A melancholy, effectively creepy three minutes in which the moon eats people.

Have yall heard of Velvet Spiders?! They have the sweetest little round faces and are so chunky looking. I would love so much to make one as a backpack or a weighted comfort plush for someone!

THE VIEW FROM THE FLIGHT DECK: The storm hasn't even started, but auroras are already dancing around the Arctic Circle. Pilot Matt Melnyk saw them Dec. 7th while flying 37,000 feet over Greenland spaceweathergallery2.com/indiv_upload...

A little 2025 exploration of the 'Gardener Worm', a creature from early in Subnautica: Below Zero's pre-production.

This being would have hauled out onto the ice to expose its internal 'garden' to the sun, photosynthesizing unique compounds for its metabolism.

The Americans undertook multiple programs to modernize the M48 Patton, particularly by installing the same 105 mm gun used on the M60. One such program was enacted #OTD in 1965, but all the tanks that were supposed to be modernized were sent to Vietnam instead. #tanks #history

Is there anybody out there?... Tonight's Super Moon (100%). Also known as the Cold Moon. Currently in a rare 18.6 year 'Luner Major Standstill Cycle'. It will not hit this height in the sky again, until the year 2042. 👀📸🇨🇦

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.
